Why Mist LGBTQ Foundation?
Mist LGBTQ Foundation through its project, MistCARES aims to build up public contributions and its own funds to deliver support and better facilities for the LGBTQ+ community. Through this, we were able to raise funds around INR 1 Lac in the year 2020 to distribute free ration kits to transgender people in Pune, Hyderabad and Bangalore during the COVID pandemic. In 2021, we were able to raise INR 1.5 Lacs for the same and in the year 2022, we also to insure 30 transgender people from Pune region. MistCARES also aims to deliver comprehensive HIV prevention, testing and treatment services to vulnerable populations including key population and their partners since 2021.
