We're here. We're queer!
The Pune Pride Collective, a coalition of a few Queer Rights organisations in Pune, will be organizing a Queer Pride March on April 23rd, 2023, 3 pm - 6 pm.
Pride Marches have emerged as an important platform for us to make our voices heard and bring visibility and attention to the issues facing our community. They also give us an opportunity to occupy public space as our full selves and celebrate and draw strength from our collective resilience and spirit.
As a collective we emphasise the fact that Pride will always be political and that queer/trans or LGBTQIA+ issues cannot be separated from issues like casteism, Islamophobia, ableism or capitalism. It is important that our meaning of Pride is capable of reflecting the diversity in the experiences and struggles of the queer community.
Generous support from your end would bring us one step closer to organizing the 2023 Pune Pride March. All donations will receive tax benefits under Sec 80G. No contribution is small, so please donate whatever amount you feel comfortable with.
